Erica Hoelscher received her MFA in stage design with an emphasis in costume from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She joined the faculty of Lehigh University in 1995. Erica’s costume designs have been seen on the stage of Shadowland Theatre, Ellenville, NY, in Clark Park, Philadelphia, with Shakespeare in Clark Park, at the Arden Theatre Company, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Theatre Outlet and Touchstone Theatre. Recent costume design credits include GLORIOUS, THE TRUE STORY OF FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS, Shadowland Theatre, and the world premier of Paul Salerni's TONY CARUSO'S FINAL BROADCAST with Lehigh University's department of music. Erica is the resident costume designer for the Rainbow Players, a community based GLBTQA theatre company in Allentown. Erica is particularly interested in the social and behavioral function of costume from a historical perspective. She has published a paper on clothing and behavior in seventeenth century France entitled "Splendor and Wit; Costume and Society in the Age of Louis XIV, The Sun King (1654 - 1715)" which may be found at Clothesline, the Online Journal of Costume and Dress. http://www.clotheslinejournal.com/splendor.htm Erica teaches courses in theatrical design, fashion history, stage makeup, and costume technology. She lives in South Bethlehem with her two sons.
Pam Richey serves as Costume Shop Coordinator for Zoellner Arts Center and Adjunct Faculty for the Department of Theatre, teaching such classes as Costume Crew and Costume Construction. As costume shop coordinator, she is responsible for the supervision of the costume shop staff and facilities while serving as draper for most productions. She received her MFA in costume design/technology from The University of Montana-Missoula and has a BA in theatre from Berry College near Rome, Georgia. Pam has worked professionally at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival as wardrobe assistant & stitcher and at the Santa fe Opera as stitcher & first hand. Costume designs include THE PILLOWMAN, THE LARAMIE PROJECT, TOP GIRLS, FIVE FLIGHTS, SEASCAPE, A DOLL'S HOUSE, THE HOUSE OF YES, BUG, PROOF, DON QUIXOTE OF BETHLEHEM, ALL THAT FALL, THE DIVINERS, ELEEMOSYNARY and various works in modern dance.
